Elmopalooza aired on ABC on February 20, 1998.

In this special, Jon Stweard plans on hosting a music special to celebrate 30 years of Sesame Street. Jon and the shows crew, including producer Prairie Dawn, are in a dressing room getting ready for the show. Elmo visits them before the show starts and when he leaves he shuts the door before Jon get's a chance to tell him that the door has been having some problems and won't open after it's shut, so Elmo decides to host the show and the rest of the Sesame Street cast work behind-the-scenes, presenting music video remakes of classic Sesame Street songs.

Meanwhile, Grover drives Susan, Gordon, Gina, and Mr. hanford in a limo to the studio to be in the show, but Grover get's lost and they end up in Roscoe, New Mexico
